We decided earlier today to have our last dinner in Bali at Ketut's Place. An excellent choice. We were treated like royalty. Taken to the new restaurant upstairs and served soup, sate, rice, and omelette. All spicy and wonderful.

Music.

Candle light.

Smiles and warmth from everyone.

Loud thunder, predicting rain.

As we finished eating, I sat there trying to take it all in — to savor the moment — to let in the warmth of their extra effort. Trying to imprint the experience on my mind so that I will never forget. At the same time trying to push away any feelings of sadness that kept creeping up on me. Sadness at having to leave.

We made it back to the room just moments before the rain.
