Eroded Mexican Hills

Rocky hillsides like this are found in much of Mexico. Poor techniques promoted by government "advisors" created slopes on which all of the soil was eroded away. The land show the result of removing the trees and shrubs for agricultural purposes: it is then no longer viable for anything.
